Who am I?

Welcome!
My name is Chris Lawrence, I am a Professional Acrobat and ITEC Level 4 Qualified Massage Therapist.
I am lucky to have the pleasure of performing world wide alongside my wife.

When we are not away performing, I operate my mobile sports massage services between show contracts. We go away for any where from 5 days to 3 weeks which affords me plenty of availability during any down time between contracts.

My Massage Training:
I re-trained as a Sports Massage Therapist during 2020 after being unable to perform in the COVID-19 epidemic. Thanks to long meeting times between classes I was able to attend classes in person and gain hands on experience. I am proud to say that I graduated my courses in 2021 at Distinction level and was immediately able to find work as a resident Sports Massage Therapist for two separate clinics in the Ipswich area.

I was able to use the high volume of clients in those clinics to hone my skills through working with the young and elderly as well as across all body types.

After settling into the clinic workstyle I then took my training further with Continued Professional Development Courses in Cupping and Acupuncture. I am always aiming to take more CPD courses in therapies that will enhance my practices

After working at each of the clinics for almost 2 years, I stepped away from them to take a 10 month Cruise Contract. Upon returning home, I decided to keep my autonomy and go solo to better afford me flexibility in my work and performing life.

My Acrobatics

My wife and I have been preforming together professionally for almost 15 years now. We are lucky enough to have performed all over the world, primarily for the larger Cruise Lines. In 2019, two major injuries almost ended our careers, frustrated at the lack of care we each received post injury I began investigating rehab for me and Iona.

I had long been interested in Sports Massage Therapies since our training days knowing that one day it could offer me an alternative career. The serious nature of our injuries led me to consider Sports Massage earlier than we anticipated.

Performing as a Professional Acrobat has given me valuable insight into the bio-mechanics of the body.
I draw upon my own experience from personal injuries and those of friends/colleagues.

Fast forward to today and I wish I had studied sports massage sooner! Our two careers synergise so well I have been able to keep us performing long past where we had planned.
